Dr. Naeem Majeed 

Dr. Naeem Majeed is a seasoned public health specialist with 18 years of experience in the health sector encompassing Immunization, RMNCAH, Nutrition, Communicable Disease Control, Health Security, and Health Systems Strengthening. He has been a part of various reforms in primary care, especially related to the use of IT for improving health outcomes in Punjab, the largest Province of Pakistan. He has co-designed and led many successful high-impact interventions like round-the-clock provision of BEmONC in rural settings, rural ambulance service for maternal and childcare, and design of HMIS and electronic medical records system for primary care. He played a vital role in the design of the integrated RMNCH Program Punjab, which was established through the integration of the LHWs Program, the MNCH Program, and the Nutrition Program. He has also advised the Government on the design of various health service outsourcing models.


In the field of immunization, he designed and led two major vaccination campaigns, i.e., the Reach Every Door (RED) campaign for Covid-19 vaccination in Punjab, and the Lahore Campaign for RI, whereby PEI teams were leveraged to identify defaulter children in the mega-urban city of Lahore. His other initiatives include the institutionalization of birth doses across all public sector labor rooms of Punjab and evening shift vaccination services in round-the-clock health facilities.


He has worked for various organizations of national and international repute, including the Government of Punjab, the World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, BMGF, Options (UK), Delivery Associates, Palladium, and Mott McDonald. He also leads SPHERE Consulting, a public health and research firm.
