Prof. Javed Iqbal Chaudhry, an esteemed ophthalmologist, bringing over thirty years of experience in clinical and academics, is the Chief Consultant and Head of Department at Sardar Trust Eye Hospital and affiliated institutes. He obtained an MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical College, and completed an ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in vitreoretinal ophthalmology at Mayo Hospital/King Edward Medical University. He previously served as the Professor at the Institute of Ophthalmology, King Edward Medical University, and Fatima Memorial Hopsital. He is now the Head of Department and Residency Supervisor at Sardar Trust Eye Hospital and is currently training five postgraduate residents, along with regular clinics, surgical lists and teaching sessions.

Dr. Javed Chaudhry’s clinical and research interests revolve around the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and retinal disorders. He is one of the pioneers of Laser Trabeculoplasty for the treatment of glaucoma in Lahore. In addition to his long illustrious career as a practicing ophthalmologist, he is also a two-time President of the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan’s Lahore Chapter. Known fondly among his close associates as JC, he is a well respected figure in ophthalmology, and is the recipeint of the Distinguisged Services Award by the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan.
